Kaoru looked up in suprise but her face fell immediately when she realized that the man was leaving. Biting her lip, she accepted his business card and then let her gaze fall to the table. She had really been enjoying his company. It was a nice change from having her tea all alone.
"It was nice to meet you too..." She said meekly. Then she watched Rahmu leave the table and walk out the door. He had been such a great help to her and had encouraged her... She had even thought of using him as a reference when she did the menswear for her collection... Glancing down at the business card, she sighed. She would never have the guts to go see him there... Shaking her head, she put the card in her bag nonetheless and when she closed it she noticed the two shortbread fingers that still remained on the man's plate...
Quickly, she pulled out her handkerchief and wrapped put the biscuits in it. Then she stood up, grabbed her parasol and fan and then ran out the door, hoping to be able to catch up to the man that had just left.
"Rahmu-san!"

Rahmu hadnt got very far from the cafe and was in fact about to cross the street and head to his home and studio when he heard Kaoru's voice call out to him. Turning around, he looked at her rushing towards him with parasol and fan, a curious look on his face. "Yes? What's the matter, Kaoru-chan?"

Kaoru stopped in front of Rahmu and panted slightly, trying to catch her breath. Running around in Lolita clothing on a day as hot as this wasn't such a good idea to begin with and Kaoru had never been very fit. She could only run short distances at a time.
"Ano..." She hesitated, still breathing heavily. The handkerchief with the biscuits was still in her hand and she held it out for the man to see. "You forgot your cookies..." Her face flushed as soon as she said those words and she shifted nervously from one foot to another.

Rahmu stared at her, waiting patiently for her to catch her breath, making no rush to leave until he was sure she had said and done all she wanted. At the mention of cookies, he looked at the handkerchief she held out to him and gratefully took the shortbread fingers he'd forgotten back in the cafe. "Oh my, I completely forgot about them. Thank you, Kaoru-chan." He offered her a polite smile, and though he now had the cookies she'd been so desperate to deliver to him, he wasnt about to leave now.
Thinking he ought to do something for her since she made such an effort to help him, he stuffed the cookies into his jacket and turned to face her. "Miss Kaoru-chan? Would you like to come to my studio with me?"

"To your studio?" Kaoru asked slowly, her eyes widening as she realized what he had said. "Oh! I..." She hesitated... Would this really be a good idea? She had only just met this man, after all, and she certainly didn't want to impose when he was going to work... But then again she had run all the way over here to deliver a couple of cookies... And if Rahmu hadn't wanted her to come, he wouldn't have asked, right? She fidgeted slightly, not daring to look up at the man when she finally replied. "I'd love to."

Rahmu smiled his politely small smile when she accepted, and offered up his arm to her so they could cross the street together. "Well, I thought I could let you look at the portfolios of past festivals. It might help to give you some inspiration for your collection. Consider it thanks for the company and bringing me my forgotten cookies."

Kaoru smiled shyly. Even though they had gotten along well so far she was still really afraid that she might do something to that would bother Rahmu. "Thank you." She said softly and took the man's arm when it was offered. He was such a gentleman, so unlike any man that she had ever met. Not even Yuki offered her his arm when they were out walking.
"I'd like that. I love to gather inspiration from many different places, it makes the collection all the more unique in the end, don't you think?" Finally daring to look up at the man at her side, she smiled brightly. She was really glad that she had met him.

Rahmu nodded as he led her across the street, his focus on the road in front of him so as to make sure they didnt trip. "I agree. It's my pleasure to do what I can to inspire others to express their creativity. There's so much of ourselves that goes into it, I cant imagine anyone's world being anything but dark and dead without something to inspire them."
His studio wasnt too far from the cafe, so the fact he didnt have a car wasnt a problem. He led her two blocks down then two blocks over on the left, before turning off to the right and walking up the short stairs to the door to his studio apartment. Slipping his arm from hers, he walked up and unlocked the door, holding it open and allowing her to enter first. He flicked the light switch on the wall beside the door as he stepped in behind her, setting his cane in the bin and hanging up his jacket. "You can leave your parasol in the bin and there's a hook there if you wish to hang up anything." He directed with his typical politeness, casually going about rolling up his sleeves as he started making his way towards the stairs leading up to the bedrooms and his studio workshop. "If you'll follow me upstairs, I'll pull out the portfolios so you can have a look at them while I get things started again."

Kaoru just smiled and allowed the man to lead the way. She was really comfortable with Rahmu. He was so kind and gentle with her. Always understanding and he never laughed when she did something silly. Not to mention he was so well dressed and... handsome. Despite wanting to be different, Kaoru always tended to judge people by their appearance. She wasn't too harsh or anything, she just prefered it when people put some thought into their appearance. It was so much nicer to talk to someone if they also looked nice. Yuki, of course, had a tendency to dress horribly but he had all that long beautiful hair. Besides, when Kaoru was done with him he would be the most handsome teacher in the entire school!
When they finally arrived at their destination, Kaoru followed Rahmu silently in through the door while her curious eyes taking in all of the surroundings. Absently, she put her parasol in the bin that the man had mentioned and then was going to follow him upstairs. But then she remembered something. Looking down at her shoes, she bit her lip. "Uhm... shouldn't I take my shoes off first?" Despite her mixed heritage she was truly Japanese in her soul.

Rahmu stopped as he finished tying his hair up on the stairs and looked back at her. He'd momentarily forgotten she was half Japanese. He smiled at her and said almost humorously, "If you dont want paint and clay dust on your feet, I'd leave them on. I dont have any guest slippers." He seemed to let out a silent laugh at the light joke and carried on up the stairs.
He grabbed his black apron off the hook he'd hung it on just outside his studio and tied it on before entering the clutter artist's space and moving over to a wall with what looked like foggy clear file boxes. Some had labels on them that were faded or smeared with some art material, and the rest either lost theirs or had never received one. He used his foot to pull over a short step stool and climbed up to pull out a box just barely on the row above his reach on the ground. He pulled out a leather bound album and climbed down, carrying it over to the somewhat less cluttered sketch desk for Kaoru to work at. "This is probably the safest place to sit right now. I apologize for the mess. If you need anything, sketch paper or pencils, or have any questions, just ask me." He pointed to the large canvas that was currently covered near the center of the room that had a painter's chair nearby to alternate between standing and sitting. "I'll be right over there." He smiled and left her to her study, moving to return to his own work on Tessa's painting.

Kaoru flushed slightly and nodded. She wasn't used to wearing shoes indoors but she definitely did not want to get her new socks dirty. She had spent the last couple of months wanting a new pair of lace over knees but they had all been sold out.So when they finally arrived the week before she had rushed down to Baby to get them.
Clasing her little bag in her hands she followed Rahmu into his studio and her eyes were wide as she took in her surroundings. This was just the kind of space that Yuki-san had always wanted! She waited for Rahmu to indicate where she could sit and then walked over to the desk, smiling shyly. "I'm sorry for bothering you while you work." Pulling her sketchbook and pen out of her bag again, she sat down, once again neatly tucking one ankle behind the other and keeping her back straight.

"Dont be. I'm used to having someone around now and then working on a private lesson while I work on a project of my own. I would like to say that's why there's as much clutter as there is, but I'm sure you know one artist could cause it just fine by himself." He chuckled and pulled the cover off the canvas he was working on. The current painting was only half finished, but you could tell what it was going to be by what was already etched out on the canvas: it was the portrait of a young woman with a youthful face sitting daintily on a satin couch with two little girls sitting near her, a brunette that dressed somewhat Gothic Lolita like Kaoru sitting on her knees on the right side of the couch next to the woman and the pale blond girl with blind eyes sitting on the floor playing with a stuffed bunny.
Rahmu stepped back to study his painting, deciding where to start since his last break, one hand thoughtfully to his chin with the other bend against his chest cupping the elbow. He certainly looked the part of an artist now, with the full painter's apron covering from chest to knee and his dark red hair pulled up into a ponytail with a few strands hanging down. He soon dropped his hands to his sides and moved to his brush rack, pulling out a size 10 filbert and selecting the paint from his carefully stocked palette. Once he had the color applied to the brush, he set to work, keeping his eyes focused on the task before him with his ears open to the company behind him.

Kaoru smiled but said nothing more and watched Rahmu get to work on his painting. A comfortable silence settled over the room and the young woman probably could have sat there for hours just watching the other paint. But staring was never polite so she turned back to her notebook and opened it to a whole new page. She had intended to design yet another dress but found that her eyes continually sought out the red haired painter. Chewing slighly on her bottom lip, she moved her pen across the paper easily, constantly glancing back and forth between the page and Rahmu.
She had always been very good at sketching exactly what she saw and was able to copy almost every little detail down onto her paper, which was why she was in Yuki's Arts Class. Painting wasn't her thing, and certainly not sculpting, but she could spend hours just scribbling pretty little pictures in the margins of her books.

Rahmu had painted for a good fifteen minutes straight, then as he stepped back to survey the latest addition to detail, he let out a surprised sound as his elbow hit his paint table, knocking over the cup of brush water and while he managed to catch it before it hit the floor, his brush flew from his hand and his thumb pressed on the open tube of acrylic paint so that it spit a nice glob on his cheek and other hand. He blew out his breath in annoyance at the moment of clumsiness and once the paint table was upright again, he quickly mopped up the water with the paint rag before walking over to the workroom sink to clean off his face and hands.
He looked over at the silent woman on his way, curious as to why she hadnt asked any questions about the photos from the last art festival. "Did you find some good inspiring pictures, Kaoru-chan? You've been so quiet, I thought you must be hard at work on some new ideas." He turned on the water once he reached the sink and used the honey oat soap bar to scrub the paint from his hands and smear than wipe the paint from his cheek.

Kaoru jumped slightly when she heard the noise and turned around just in time to see Rahmu get paint on his face. She tried not to smile at the other's misfortune, she really tried, but she failed miserably and a soft laughter escaped her lips. Her eyes widened slightly and she raised her hand to cover her mouth as she tried to stifle her own giggles.
"Hm?" She bit her lip to force the silly smile off her face and tried to focus on what Rahmu was saying instead. "Oh, I..." She had been so busy sketching the man that she had completely forgotten to look at the pictures he had fetched for her! She blushed prettily and put a hand over her newest sketch. "I was just putting some final touches on one of my designs, I'll have a look at the pictures now."
