Rahmu's smile fell as he considered the boy. He could understand how it must feel to be doubted and disputed simply because of age. He had been a similar child at one point in time but had risen above that. He calmly walked up to the boy and crouched so they were at eye level and said with a gentle face, "There are many who will not understand those of us who think beyond the norm, but their skepticism should never stop you from being true to yourself. If the things you like make you happy, it shouldnt matter what anyone else thinks. Dont let them make you lost in who you are as well just because they cant find themselves." He offered up an understanding smile then gracefully rose to his feet and started to leave the boy to his thoughts. The boy really just needed someone to reach out to, someone who would understand him and not criticize him. Still, much of the time society could be quite cruel and would try endlessly to cripple the truly brilliant minds before they had a chance to shine.

The boy looked at him slightly confuzed, he could somewhat understand why this man was so kind to him. but would he lie to him about this to tease him, but he couldent figure it out. "I... Am... " He shook his head a bit to regain himself. "I have to go back to work... If.. You need something... you can ask... I'll be happy to help..."

Rahmu stopped at the end of the aisle and looked back at the boy. He seemed so uncertain, but rather than push the lad to trust him, he decided to let that be the boy's decision. He politely inclined his head with a smile and said, "Thank you. I'll be sure to do that." He lightly pointed in the direction he was heading and asked for clarification, "It's just the next aisle over, right? Third column, fifth or sixth row, or what was it?"

"Next aisle first column... third shelf... and then the fith or sixt book from the left" The boy repeated and went back to work, he took out another cart of books and went on putting them back in their place. He kept thinking about the man, he was curious about what he could learn from him, why he would be so kind to him and so much more.

Rahmu nodded with a smile and walked off to go find the suggested books. It didnt take long to find them, but of course he had to be sure they had what he was looking for and opened each one in turn to browse through the content. He wanted to be able to move onto something soon with his class, preferably tomorrow in fact, knowing that if you stuck too long to the same thing, people were bound to get bored. He decided to get one of them and picked up the other for a look, wondering aside if the boy he'd met was alright working by himself. Not that he didnt seem capable of working in the library, but rather he didnt want the boy to try scaling a shelf and risk falling. He really probably should find a shelf ladder to scale when re-shelving books, or at least a step ladder. It wouldnt be fun at all to spend one's summer laid up at home from a nasty fall, after all. (lol, I rhymed!)

The boy was taking a break and sitting in one of the chairs, carefully he bruching his tail making sure he didnt miss a spot and making it even softer and slightly more fluffy then before. His mind had calmed down and he was completely focussed on bruching his tail. He had been working hard for the intire time and aws taking a well deserved rest.

Finding all that he needed for the lesson tomorrow, Rahmu wandered out of the aisle and made his way towards the checkout counter. He passed by the area where the boy was now resting on a chair but didnt bother to interrupt him during his break. Handing the librarian his card, he waited for her to check out the books, looking back over towards the boy brushing his tail.
He turned his attention back to the woman as she stacked the books in front of him and asked, "With that be all today, Mr. Nekoi?"
He nodded and picked up the books, two of which were the origami ones and the third was one he'd found on Japanese painting. He hadnt had much practice with that form and thought he might try his hand at it again that weekend when he didnt have class, barring any tutoring that may come up. "Yes, thank you."
The librarian nodded and gave him back his card with a polite smile. "They're due back in two weeks. Enjoy your reading then."
Rahmu nodded and made to leave the library, but hesitated before he got to the door. Somehow he wanted to try and see if the boy would be interested in taking a private art lesson with him, given the boy's interest in Japanese artforms. Suddenly his weekend plans gave him an idea, and tucking the books under his arm, he made his way over to where the nekoboy sat. "Um...excuse me? Do you mind if I asked you something?"

(actually I'm making him into a fox boy^^; )
The boy looked up to him. "Ah.. it's you... have you found the books you needed...?" He kept bruching his tail and was quite focussed on it.

(ah, well foxes are kinda a cross between a dog and cat so i just tend to relate them more to felines. xD)
Rahmu nodded, looking down at the books under his arm as indication of it, then turned his eyes back on the boy before him. "Yes, thank you for the help. I found just what I was looking for and then some. But...what I really came to talk to you about was...." He wasnt so certain of it now that he was in front of the boy, really not wanting to overstep his bounds and force his attentions to a matter he possibly was better left keeping out of. Still, it was worth a try given the boy's reluctant interest. "Since you seem interested in Japanese culture and art, I was wondering if maybe you'd be interested in learning Japanese painting with me. I admit I'm still an amatuer myself, but I'm thinking of restarting my studies on it and thought you might be interested." He shrugged slightly and looked at the boy with dark blues and the small kind smile he showed before. "It'd be something fun you could do this summer so you're not spending it alone working at the library the entire time."
He fell silent and waited a moment, then took a few steps away before handing the boy one of his 'business' cards. "Here, why not think on it a while and then give me a call or stop by sometime. If I'm not in class I'm usually available at home so you wont have too hard a time trying to reach me." He smiled and bowed his head to the boy and farewell before turning to leave. "Farewell then. And thanks again for your help." With that he made his way to exit the library, books carefully held in hand.

the boy looked at him and smiled. " That sounds quite interesting." He took the card and looked at him, just before he left suddenly he called out. " My name is...!... I'm... Alexander...." he spoke stil a bit unsure.

Rahmu stopped at the door and looked back to the boy who'd called out to him. He smiled softly and nodded in greeting. "Pleasure to meet you, Alexander. Be seeing you later, I hope." His smile faded from his face as he pulled the door and walked out into the sunlight. He'd take the books home first and depending on what happened from there, he'd either set up his studio or begin planning out tomorrow's lesson.

Alexander looked at the card he was now holding. "He didnt even tell me his name...." He thought out loud, however he realized he should still be working and put the card in his pocket before going back to work.
Later that day after his usual kendo practice he took out his phone and found the buisnuiscard yet again. He thought of the man and blushed a bit, hesetatingly he rang the number hoping no one would pick up and he wouldent have to directly talk to him like this.

Rahmu was at home, wearing his painter's apron and his sleeves rolled back and hair tied up, and was in the middle of setting the stage for both options of his afternoon when the phone started ringing. He set down the crate he'd been carrying into the studio and dusted off his hands before walking into the other room and picking up the receiver. "Hello, this is Rahmu speaking. How can I help you?"

When he picked up teh phone Alexander froze a bit, not knowing what to say but after a deep breath he managed to speak again. "T-...T-.. This is Alexander... I... Work at the libarary.. and well... ehm... I.." He nervously spoke, he always did have problems with calling someone when not knowing was on the other size. He never did know his name so he wasn't sure he was talking to the right man and that made him even more nervous.

Rahmu smiled and turned slightly to lean on the wall behind him. "Hello again, Alexander. Dont worry, this is the man you met in the library this afternoon. I'm so sorry I forgot to give you my name along with my card. That was rather rude of me. I hope it wasnt too troublesome for you?" He could tell the boy was nervous again, just by the way he stuttered and sounding so very uncertain on the other end. It was better to act calm and hope it relieved some of the tension the boy felt.
