"I just need to equalize that shine on your face and you'll be ready to go." the girl in make up said. Astra blushed, he wasn't used to this kind of treatement.
He felt his heart pounding in his throat and for a second he wondered what he had started with. He had been asked on the street whether he would like to model for the cover of a book. The photographer had been attracked by his dark blue wings and his silver hair.
This was his first time modeling and he immediately had to model with someone. He looked down at his dress, at least it was a pretty one, especially fitted for his wings. He wondered if he could keep it.
"Now don't be nervous lass." the make up artist said. "you're gonna do great."
Astra smiled nervously and got up from the chair, he didn't even bother to tell her the truth.
"Thank you." he said, his voice half taken by his nerves.
Carefully he started walking towards the set. He wondered what the other model would look like.

Kris was standing next to the set. He was watching photographer who was preparing his equipment. It hadn't been a long time since the man asked him to be a model. Kris actually liked it because at least he wasn't so bored at these times and he even got money for it. Not as he really needed the money, it was just fun.
As he was speculating about these things suddenly he remembered. The clothes. The makeup. The setting. WTF. It wasn't an average photo shoot. Kris didn't feel comfortable at all. IT WAS A PHOTO SHOOT FOR SOME ROMANTIC NOVEL!!! He looked at the photographer who was smiling at him.
"I'll kill you for sure" told him Kris with an angry face "Do you know how it feels without my perfect makeup...and I hate this shirt!! It's disgusting" he snorted.
But suddenly he fell silent. A girl was coming into their direction. A very strange girl. Her hair was silver and her cheeks were bright red...and...and she had blue wings!
Kris couldn't beleive his eyes.

Astra spoted his partner and blushed. He had expected another girl, but now he realized what type of book cover this would be.
He took a deep breath and approached the guy.
"Hey," he said. "I think I'm your collegue." His voice was a little low to be a girls voice, but slightly to high to be that of a man.
He was still blushing brightly.

Kris was still looking at the newcomer rather surprised. Then he started speaking slowly.
"Hello. I'm Kris and you?" He hesitated a bit then looked right into her eyes.."Hey you are not a girl at all, right?"

If possible Astra turned even more red. His violet eyes blinked a couple of times and he was baffled.
There had been very few people indeed who had known his true sex by just looking at him like that so fast.
"I... How did you know?" he asked. He gave him a shy smile and held out his hand. "I am Astra." he said.

Kris nodded. So his intuition was right.
"I just knew..." he grinned as he shook the boy's hand.
"Say Astra...right? Why'd they put these wings on you? I mean they look cool...maybe I can try them on later?"

Astra started laughing.
"That would be a tad difficult." he said as he spread his wings a little.
"You see... they are part of me." he explained and he turned his back to Kris a little to show him he wasn't lying.
His dress had an open back and it was clear from the way the wings were attached to his body they were and innertial part of him.
He flapped them a little.
