Yuki moved casually about the kitchen, chopping up vegetables and meat before dropping them in a large pan on the stove. "Don't worry, it is nicer to cook for two than just for myself." He said and continued his cooking. A few spices were added and then a few other ingredients. Yuki was very fluid in his cooking. He almost never tasted anything he did, just went with what he felt like at the moment and usually it turned out well. Of course, he would never become a master chef like one of the Park brothers, but he was good enough for a simple man.
"Could you bring me a couple of plates from that cupboard over there, please?" He asked Haydn and gestured to one of the cupboards to his right. The food was soon done and all he needed to do now was serve it.

Haydn nodded and grabbed two plates from the suggested cupboard, setting them on the counter and smiling a bit, His brother was an outstanding chef but even when Reiner cooked for the two of them it was a rare moment the sat down and ate together.....Was he really this needy for attention? Was this becomming of him?
"No problem"

Yuki smiled gratefully when the other man did what he asked and then started piling food on the two plates. He probably even put too much on them, but Yuki was a man who believed very strongly in doing his best to take care of others. No one was going to go hungry in his house.
"Why don't you sit down?" He said in his soft voice. Grabbing two sets of chopsticks, he brought them and the plates to his small kitchen table. "Oh, right!" He remembered something suddenly and walked back to the fridge. "What would you like to drink?" Even though they had not seen eachother in months, Yuki still stocked his kitchen as if ChangMin would walk in through the front door at any moment. Which mean he had anything from Orange Juice to Vodka to drink even though he barely ever drank alcohol himself.

Haydn's stomach growled at the food's appearance and scent. He sat down at the table and smiled a bit, leaning back against the back of the chair
"A soda? I don't really care what kind."
He did drink and the alcohol sounded wonderful but he figured it'd be best to say no for now, the booze tended to put an edge on his angry side...

Yuki nodded and pulled out two cans of Japanese Cherry Flavored soda. Besides tea, this was his absolute favorite beverage. Most people thought that it tasted absolutely horrid, but Yuki loved it and could not understand why anyone wouldn't want to drink it.
He walked back to the table, set down the sodas and then took a seat in the only free chair. "I hope it tastes alright, I'm not used to cooking for other people..." He was far too used to letting ChangMin do all the cooking. And there he went again. Always thinking about his former student. Yuki really should know better by now. He shook his head at himself and then put his hands together in a sort of prayer. "Ittadakimasu!"

Haydn followed his lead, putting his hands together and quietly murmuring along with him, then looking to Yuki again
"It smells great...So if it tastes anything like it smells it should be amazing..."
He adjusted his chopsticks then paused, staring at them, he was holding them all wrong. That was one thing he could never really get a handle of..He sighed lightly and attempted the food..failing miserably...

Blushing faintly at Haydn's words, Yuki tried to focus his attention on the food in front of him. He was starting to like the other man although it still worried him slightly that he had been so badly hurt. And to think it was selfinflicted? No matter how hard he tried Yuki could not understand why anyone would want to do something like that to themselves. But at least he was okay now...
He looked up at the other man shyly and almost started laughing when he noticed how much trouble Haydn was having with the chopsticks. "Nee, you're not used to using them, are you?" He asked and bit his lip to keep from smiling too much. "This is how you hold them. See?" Holding up his right hand, he moved the chopsticks with ease.

Hayden sighed and looked to Yuki, his expression was a bit defeated. He adjusted the chopsticks and tried again
"I did it like that before and i always-" before he could finish a bit of veggie flew almost halfway across the table. "-do...that..." He sighed again and frowned at the chopsticks
"Japanese food..the best diet program for gaijen...." His stomach growled again

This time Yuki could not stop the laughter that escaped from his lips. His eyes widened and he put a hand over his mouth, but still the small giggle continued. "I have never seen a vegetable fly that far before!" He said but then took pity on the other man. It was not very nice to sit there and laugh at him. No matter how useless he was at handling his chopsticks.
Standing up, he walked across the room and fetched a knife and fork out of a drawer. He never used them himself, but they had been a Christmas gift from his parents a couple of years back. He returned to the table and handed them to Haydn with a gentle smile. "Here."

Haydn sighed and shook his head
"The first time i tried chopsticks i hit the waiter...My brother has never let me live it down."
He smiled and greatfully accepted the knife and fork, eating with much more ease. Thankfully he'd outgrown the military mentality of 'eat as much as you can as fast as you can or they'll take it away'
"This is awesome."

"They take some time to master. I have used them ever since I was little so I have had a lot of practise." Yuki said and sat back down in his seat. Sometimes he forgot that foreigners were not as used to eating with Chopsticks as he was. It was a little silly, perhaps, but Yuki did not really meet all that many people that weren't Japanese, or at least asian, so he never had to consider what they might not be able to do.
"You have a brother?" He asked with some surprise and easily brought a piece of broccoli to his lips with his own chopsticks. "What's his name?" Yuki himself had never had any siblings but in the last few years he had come to consider Joungyou a brother... or something like it at least. God, he missed that man. He had been so sad when Joung had announced that he was going back to Korea with his fiancé.

Haydn smiled a little, he could inderstand how it was easy to forget something like that, He ate at a rather even pace. His mind wandering. What was he going to do about his relationship with Reiner. He had become this tool, not a brother.
"You could say that...His name is Reiner...We...haven't gotten on really since we both served in the military." The war did strange things to relationships, even though they worked side by side.

"Ano..." Yuki hesitaded for a while, lowering his chopsticks and biting his lip. "What happened between the two of you?" Since Yuki was an only child, he really had no grasp of what it was like to have siblings. He has just watched the endless fights between ChangMin and his brothers over the years but there were no good reasons for those fights.. It was just ChangMin who refused to grow up.
"You don't have to answer if you don't want to!" Yuki said then and looked down at the table. Asking such personal questions... to someone he had just met... What was he thinking? "I was just curious..."

He shook his head slowly and smiled "No, it's fine...We used to be really close..people used to say we spoke without even moving our lips.....But after the war he just pushed me away. I wasn't his brother, i was a means to an end...I was the muscle for all of his ideas...I guess i just don't want to accept that he's changed...Now all we do is fight, or he ignores me.."
He ran a hand through his hair and chewed on a bite of the food, his plate nearly cleared already

Yuki looked up at the other man through his dark lashes while he used his chopsticks to push the last piece of vegetable around on his plate. "I'm sorry... That could not have been easy for you... But... I am sort of glad you told me." He smiled hesitantly. "Uhm... it feels like I am getting to know you. And it is... nice." He looked down again and his cheeks turned a dark pink. What was wrong with him? He had not blushed this much since ChangMin was his student!
'But at least Haydn hasn't pushed me up against a wall yet..' Yuki shook himself at the thought. Not all men were like Park ChangMin. When was he going to learn that?
