A Day at the Carnival

[Nagi-kun]

(well, Kenji's a child, and children often notice things others do not. ^^ I know, I have several nephews, used to babysit, and was a child like that myself. xD)

Kenji looked down at being reproached by the rather pretty looking man. He took the man's hand and pointed over to where his brother stood with his hands on his hips no longer in the food line waiting for them. "There's my aniki. I didnt stray too far. Though he does look upset I took off like that." Kenji smiled and waved at his brother before looking up at the man with wings walking him back. "Um...I was curious...." His cheeks flushed a little and he rubbed his fingers together like a shy child would, looking rather nervous now as he tried to talk to an adult. "Are you...an angel? Toushi says you're not, but I think so. Cus you have big wings and a pretty face." He smiled somewhat meekly though proudly up at Astra, hoping the man didnt get mad at him for saying weird stuff. Adults could be scary sometimes, especially strangers.

[Y-n-Y]

Yuki gave Fen a glare that was even worse than the one he gave Yami a moment ago.
"You do not know me, so do not act like you do," he grunted.
His arms were crossed and his finger was continuously tapping on his arm.

"I think you're underestimating those machines?" Yami smiled.
"They can be really fun if you just... let go..." and he made a wide arm movement.
"How about I treat you on one ride? Afterwards you can tell me how much it sucked."

Naedri surveyed Yami and wondered softly what the boy was getting at by being so friendly with him. He didnt seem like an idiot, not like Fen at least, so what was the boy thinking? He decided to go with it, recalling how often Fen tried to convince him to socialize, and dropped his hands to his sides with a half shrug. "Alright, I suppose I could. Doesnt hurt to try. Though what should I do with him?" At this, he pointed over to Fen, hinting at his role as caretaker of the carrot top.

Fen whipped around finally, deciding to take the hint and stop harassing Yuki before the guy hurt him for being friendly, and strolled over to Naedri and Yami. "You dont need to worry about me, sweetheart. Go on and have fun for once, I'll be fine on my own. Honestly Naedri, you act like my mother."

Naedri scoffed at that, "If you had a mother, maybe."

Fen laughed, "Good point." He then forced Naedri around towards the ride and gave him an encouraging push. "Go on then, make a new friend sweetheart. It'll be good for you." Naedri didnt look so convinced, never really having thought he needed companionship much, and watched as Fen started to walk away.

As he passed Yami, Fen smiled at the boy and lightly laid a hand on his shoulder. "Take care of him for me, okay? He's a bit antisocial still, but he'll warm up to you, no worries." He slid his hand off Yami and walked on off to go see what he could do to pass the time, waving his hand in farewell to the three of them. "Have fun, sweetheart! Tata now~"

[Y-n-Y]

Yami waved him off, as if he had known Fen for years. He turned around again and looked at Naedri.
"Shall we go then?" he asked bit a broad smile.
"Wait a minute..." it sounded behind them.
Yuki was still looking at Yami, looking pissed like never before.
"You are just going to leave me here?" he asked.
"What now, are you jealous?" Yami grinned.
"Jealous of my new friend?"
Yuki's eyebrow twitched, he turned around and walked off.
"Now that's settled... shall we?" Yami asked, like nothing had happened.

[Yera]

Astra followed the boys pointed finger and saw his brother waiting for him impatiently.
The look in his eyes told Astra that he was not all that pleased with his little brother. "You're right." he said. "We had better get you back quickly."
He started walking towards the boys brother when the young one suddenly asked him this danting question.
Astra started blushing. "Am I an angel?" he repeated. "well... I guess you could say that but... I'm only half an angel." he said in a serious voice.

Naedri watched Fen leave and hinted at a smile at how easy it was for others to act so familiar with the carrot top. Fen didnt really have to try, and that was both wonderful and somewhat sad at the same time. He turned to follow alongside Yami to the dreaded roller coaster when the inhuman smelling boy, Yuki he thought he'd heard the man be called, protested the dismissal of his company.

Naedri watched the exchange between the two boys and lightly shook his head at Yami's tease before easing out a sigh and turning to get on the ride with the boy. "Your friend...does he like to monopolize your attention?" He looked over at Yami with a hint of uncertainty in his purple eyes, rather awkward at conversing with anyone. With the boys, he didnt have to talk much to be understood. Besides, Fen did plenty of that for everyone, there was scarcely a need for it.

Kenji looked down meekly, feeling a little embarrassed for asking the question when Astra reacted the way he did. "Oh...but that means your momma or papa was an angel if you're half. And that means Toushi is half wrong." He giggled a little and looked up at Astra bashfully from beneath black bangs.

Reaching his older brother, Kenji released Astra's hand and rushed to his brother's side. Toushi took a moment to scold his brother, "Dont go running of like that, Ken. It's easy to lose you in busy places like this, you know that. What would you do if a carnie kidnapped you?"

Kenji lowered his head sadly and half buried his head in his brother's leg. "I'm sorry, aniki...I wont run off again, I promise." Toushi couldnt stay angry with the boy and sighed before ruffling the boy's hair. He then turned his attention to Astra and though he didnt smile his tone was grateful. "I'm sorry about my little brother. He likes to help people when he sees them in trouble. I hope he didnt trouble you too much."

[Yera]

Astra smiled at the boys brother.
"That is alright, he is really a sweet kid." he said.
He turned to Kenji then. "But you really shouldn't run away like that any more. Next time you want to help somebody, just wait for your brother okey?" he smiled.
He then looked at the older boy again.
"My name is Astra by the way, Astra Ruveral, at your service."

[Nagi-kun]

Toushi never took his eyes off Astra as the angel complimented his little brother's character. Kenji smiled at Astra and shrugged a little. "Sorry. When somebody's in trouble, I just gotta go help. But I'll try not to take off like that again." He looked up at his brother, happy to meet a 'grown-up' that was nice and an angel to boot.

At Astra introduction, Toushi sighed and stuffed one hand in his pocket while he held out the other in greeting. "Nice to meet you. I'm Toushi, and my little brother is Kenji." After shaking the angel's hand, he took hold of Kenji's to make sure he wouldnt lose him again. "We were just about to get something to eat before checking out the rides. How about you? You could join us if you want."

[Yera]

Astra shook Toushi's hand and smiled.
"Well, if I won't bother you?" Astra said when the guy invited him to join him and his brother for something to eat and checking out the rides.
"I'd love to."
He gave Toushi a sweet smile.
