(Similar to a werewolf, except he turns into a panther(they're all black...not jaguars..god it's too early for me to brain today))
He shook his head and closed his eyes, sighing a bit
"Why did you save me...?"
He was a horrible man..he knew it..How could the boy not see it..

He smiled at Zero.

He nodded slowly and settled back down on the bed.
"Do you have any decent reading material?"
He was healing faster than normal people would but he'd still be laid up for a few more days, something to pass the time would be nice

He shifted a bit and seemed to ponder for a moment
"Fiction is normally a safe bet as long as it's none of those girly romance novels...Those are only to be read out of complete lack of other entertainment..."
He blinked a few times...Huh? What did the boy mean, he was healing at the normal rate for his kind.....Oh wait the kid was mortal! Woops....
"Huh? Oh yeah..." He clutched his leg "Owww...my leg...." He playfully glanced to the boy...did he believe it? Dear god he must look like a dumbass...How was he gonna explain this
